: 10-Year-Old Shot and Killed in Foothill Farms Community

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. – The Sacramento County community is mourning the tragic death of 10-year-old Keith Frierson, who was shot and killed on Saturday by another 10-year-old boy. The incident has left the community in shock and disbelief, as they come together to remember the young boy’s life.

According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office and Sheriff’s Office, Frierson was fatally shot in a parking lot in the Foothill Farms community. The shooting occurred after the boy found a gun in his father’s car.

The alleged shooter then fled the scene and sought refuge in a nearby apartment. Authorities believe that the alleged shooter’s father, Arkete Davis, attempted to conceal the gun by throwing it into a nearby trash can.

Keith Frierson’s mother, Brittani Frierson, described the harrowing experience of losing her son and mentioned that the alleged shooter was considered a friend by her son. The family has established a GoFundMe page to raise funds for a proper farewell for Keith.

The alleged shooter’s father, Arkete Davis, faces charges of three firearms felonies and being an “accessory after the fact.” He is being held on a $500,000 bail and is legally prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm.

The alleged shooter, Davis’ son, has been taken into custody and charged with murder. He has been placed in the Sacramento County Youth Detention Center as the investigation continues.

As the community mourns the loss of Keith Frierson, they are coming together to support his family during this difficult time. The tragic incident has ignited discussions about firearm safety and access, prompting a reevaluation of safety measures and regulations.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting as the community seeks justice for Keith Frierson, whose life was taken at such a young age.
