MAHAFFEY, Pennsylvania – Three Clearfield County residents are facing pending charges of animal cruelty and neglect after allegedly mistreating a dog in Greenwood Township.
State Police reported that a 60-year-old man, a 31-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old boy are suspected of shooting and mistreating an English Mastiff dog. The dog was found with a gunshot wound to its head, a shoestring tied around its muzzle, and in deplorable health. The animal is currently recovering following treatments at animal hospitals in State College and Pittsburgh.
