BEAUMONT, Texas – Beaumont police have arrested a 19-year-old suspect in connection with the murder of a store clerk during an Aggravated Robbery. The suspect, identified as Keandre Robinson, was apprehended only hours after the killing of the clerk, Sheikh Abir-Hossain, at the Kris Food Mart on Gulf Street. The incident took place on Friday, December 29th, when two suspects entered the store, robbed the clerk at gunpoint, and fatally shot him before fleeing with stolen cigarettes.
Police are still seeking the second suspect, who was seen on the store surveillance camera armed with a handgun. Following Robinson’s arrest, Justice of the Peace Naomi Doyle set bond at $800,000 on the murder charge. The swift apprehension of Robinson was attributed to excellent police work and numerous Crime Stoppers tips from the public.
According to Officer Haley Morrow, the surveillance video captured a heavyset man with dreadlocks, armed with a handgun, entering the store wearing a dark jacket with a hood and carrying an orange bag. The second suspect was described as armed with a handgun, wearing black jeans, and a black hoodie with the word “NERD” written on it.
