Attempted Murder Suspect Sought After Violent Assault in Toronto’s West End

TORONTO, Canada – Police in Toronto are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for attempted murder following a violent assault in the city’s west end on Monday.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday near Bloor St. W. and Margueretta St., when an altercation between two men led to one being knocked unconscious. Despite a bystander’s attempts to intervene, the assailant continued to assault the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have released images of the suspect and are appealing to the public for any information that may lead to his identification and apprehension. The suspect is described as a man between 26 to 32 years old, approximately 5-foot-10, with a medium build, slicked back black hair, and a thin black goatee. He was last seen wearing black rimmed glasses, a black puffy jacket with a hood, black pants, and black and white shoes.

In addition to the suspect’s physical description, the police are also looking for a vehicle believed to have been associated with the suspect prior to the assault. The vehicle is described as a 2008-2012 dark blue or black Ford Escape with a black roof rack and aluminum rims.
