BOISE, Idaho — A chaotic scene unfolded Saturday night when a reported burglary escalated into a violent confrontation, prompting police intervention at a local business on Fairview Avenue.
Boise police were called to the location shortly after 9:30 p.m., where they discovered that an employee had been assaulted amid an attempted theft of alcoholic beverages. Initial reports suggest that 18-year-old Bailey Geesey entered the establishment and began to steal alcohol. When an employee confronted her, she reportedly struck the worker, initiating a physical altercation.
As the dispute escalated, Geesey was joined by two accomplices: 18-year-old Junior Antonio Alvarodo Hernandez and a male juvenile. The trio allegedly assaulted the employee, who was eventually overpowered and severely beaten during the conflict. Witnesses described the scene as particularly distressing, with the employee suffering multiple blows, including punches and kicks, as well as being stomped on.
In a turn of events, the employee managed to retrieve a firearm and discharged it at the assailants, striking Alvarodo Hernandez in the process. The suspects subsequently fled the scene in a vehicle, while the injured employee was transported to a nearby hospital. Medical staff reported that the employee sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Law enforcement later located the suspects’ vehicle around N. Curtis Road and W. Irving Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop and took Geesey, Alvarodo Hernandez, and the juvenile into custody without further incident.
Following the investigation, Geesey was charged with aggravated assault and commercial burglary, which carries felony and misdemeanor classifications, respectively. Meanwhile, both Alvarodo Hernandez and the juvenile were also charged with aggravated assault. Alvarodo Hernandez required medical treatment for a gunshot wound before being transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Authorities have since booked Geesey and Alvarodo Hernandez into the Ada County Jail, while the juvenile was placed in the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center. The incident has raised concerns about safety in the area and has prompted local business owners to reevaluate security measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Police continue to investigate the matter and urge anyone with additional information to come forward.
