Businessman Jailed for Violent Attack on Ex-Girlfriend at Penthouse

Hull, United Kingdom – A disturbing incident involving Hull businessman Lance Cator has left his ex-girlfriend traumatized physically and mentally. The victim recounts a violent attack in Cator’s penthouse, where he allegedly punched, kicked, and caused severe injuries to her. Cator confessed to assaulting the woman, resulting in actual bodily harm, on February 12 of last year at Queens Court in Hull.

The brutality of the assault is evident in the woman’s broken nose, black eyes, knee injuries, and damage to her fingernails. Cator, 54, faced charges but ultimately was sentenced to two years in jail after admitting to the assault. Originally, he was set to face a more serious charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, which was later dropped.

According to the victim, she had been in a relationship with Cator for over three years and had been residing at his penthouse. The altercation occurred after Cator had been drinking with friends at his pub and returned home with his girlfriend. An argument escalated, leading to a brutal attack within the walls of their shared home.

The prosecution detailed a disturbing sequence of events that unfolded, portraying Cator’s outburst as a display of violence and control. The victim revealed the emotional and physical toll the assault had taken on her, necessitating therapy, medication, and medical procedures to address her injuries.

Despite Cator’s claims of acting in self-defense and downplaying the impact of alcohol on his behavior, the severity of the assault cannot be overlooked. The victim’s harrowing experience sheds light on the prevalence of domestic violence and the lasting scars it leaves behind.

The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of addressing and preventing instances of abuse within relationships. Cator’s incarceration is a testament to the consequences of such violent actions and the need for justice to be served in cases of domestic violence.
