Crash: Maryland Bus Incident Leaves One Dead and Multiple Injured

Maryland State Police Aviation Command responded to a motor vehicle crash in Allegany County, Maryland. The crash involved a bus carrying dozens of people, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.

On Sunday at 6 a.m., a bus carrying 24 passengers was traveling northbound on I-95 in Harford County when it veered out of control and collided with a guardrail, as reported by the Maryland State Police. Tragically, one individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while several others were transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment. Reports indicated that a total of 23 individuals sustained injuries in the incident.

The cause of the bus losing control remains unknown, prompting the Maryland State Police Crash Team to spearhead an ongoing investigation. At this time, no charges have been filed. Following the crash, all northbound lanes of I-95 were temporarily closed at mile marker 77 for investigative purposes. However, the lanes have since been reopened after the completion of the investigation.
