Detroit Stripper’s Daughter Shares Explosive TikTok About Unsolved Murder Involving Former Mayor

DETROIT, MI – A viral TikTok video by the daughter of a slain Detroit stripper is reigniting interest in one of the city’s most notorious unsolved murders. The video, posted by Ashly Jackson, has garnered nearly four million views as she delves into her mother’s murder, alleging a connection to former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

Tamara Greene, also known as Strawberry, was killed in a drive-by shooting months after a rumored 2002 party at Kilpatrick’s Manoogian Mansion. Jackson claims her mother was having an affair with Kilpatrick at the time, alleging that Kilpatrick’s wife assaulted Greene at the party after catching her giving Kilpatrick a lap dance.

The case took a darker turn when Greene was shot to death in April 2003 while sitting in a car with her boyfriend, allegedly from a .40 caliber pistol, the standard issue for Detroit police officers. Jackson alleges that Kilpatrick paid off city cops to carry out the murder.

Despite being a high-profile case for years, no one has been charged in Greene’s death. The case was the focus of a legal battle to prove that Kilpatrick obstructed the murder investigation, but evidence was reportedly missing and the lawsuit was dismissed in 2011 due to lack of evidence.

A 2019 podcast on Greene’s death drew national attention, featuring interviews with those close to the case, including a retired EMS lieutenant and Greene’s family attorney. The episode shed light on missing evidence and allegations of police corruption related to the case.

Unproven theories about Greene’s death continue to surface, including the possible involvement of Detroit police officers. Jackson, now 27, expressed frustration in her TikTok video, recounting her years-long fight for justice and seeking accountability for her mother’s murder.

The controversial history of the case was further amplified when former President Donald Trump pardoned Kilpatrick, who had been serving a 28-year prison sentence for corruption crimes. With no resolution in sight, Jackson’s efforts to keep her mother’s memory alive have gained renewed attention, sparking a new wave of interest in the case.
