Explosion at Fort Worth Hotel Leaves 21 Injured: Gas Incident Under Investigation

FORT WORTH, Texas — On January 8, an explosion at a hotel in Fort Worth, Texas resulted in at least 21 people being injured. Emergency crews responded to the incident at the Sandman Hotel around 3:30 pm, following reports of the explosion.

According to police, one person was in critical condition and four others were seriously injured out of the 21 people who were injured during the explosion. The Fort Worth Fire Department stated that the incident displayed the “characteristics of a gas explosion,” although the cause was still under investigation. They also assured the public that there were no ongoing safety concerns in the area.
