The first crash, occurring at 3am on Monday on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway around FIDIWO, resulted in the deaths of two male adults and left two others injured. The vehicle involved lost control due to suspected wrongful overtaking and speeding. The injured victims were rushed to Victory Hospital in Ogere while the deceased were taken to the FOS morgue in Ipara.

Shortly after, a second crash on the Ore-Ijebu-Ode section of the expressway claimed the lives of three individuals. The cause of the accident was attributed to speed and fatigue. Following these incidents, the Sector Commander of the FRSC, Ogun Sector Command, Anthony Uga, urged motorists to exercise caution and ensure they have adequate rest to prevent fatigue while driving.

These tragic events serve as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for drivers to remain vigilant and attentive while on the road.
