Investigation Into Death of Wealthy Indian-Origin Family in $5 Million Massachusetts Mansion

DOVER, Mass. – Officials are currently investigating the untimely deaths of a wealthy Indian-origin family in their $5 million mansion in Massachusetts. The bodies of Rakesh Kamal, 57, his wife, Teena, 54, and their 18-year-old daughter, Ariana, were found in their 11-bedroom, 13-bathroom mansion on Thursday.

According to Norfolk District Attorney (DA) Michael Morrissey, the tragic incident is being viewed as a “domestic violence situation,” as a gun was discovered near Rakesh’s body. The deaths of the family members are still under investigation by the police, and the medical examiner’s office is determining the cause and manner of their deaths.

The couple, who previously operated an education systems company called EduNova, faced financial difficulties in recent years, leading to the foreclosure and sale of their mansion. Ariana, a bright and kind young woman, was remembered fondly by the schools she attended.

She graduated from Milton Academy and was in her first year at Middlebury College, where she was described as a brilliant and engaged student. The family’s grim discovery was made after a relative had not heard from them in one or two days and decided to check on them.

The community is devastated by the loss, with the prestigious schools Ariana attended expressing their sorrow. The affluent neighborhood, described as a safe community, was the location of the tragic incident. Dover, approximately 20 miles southwest of downtown Boston, is where the family lived.
