Kidnapped Woman Rescued: Queensland Police Arrest Four Men in Connection with Doolandella Assault

Queensland, Australia – A 43-year-old woman was taken from her home in Doolandella and assaulted by a group of men on Friday, according to Queensland Police. The victim was then placed in a vehicle and transported to a property in Forest Lake, where a firearm was discharged into the vehicle. Fortunately, no one was shot during the incident and the woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Acting Inspector Michael Hogan stated that a tip-off from a member of the public led to the arrest of four men at an address in Stafford Heights, with two of them later released. Two men, aged 18 and 20, were charged with kidnapping, extortion, torture, armed robbery, dangerous conduct with a weapon, and other offenses.

The victim has since been released from the hospital, but Acting Inspector Hogan mentioned that she was significantly shaken and traumatized by the event. Investigators are currently looking for two other men to come forward for questioning in connection with the alleged attack. The police have stated that there is no indication that this incident is gang-related at this time, but it is something they will continue to look into as the investigation progresses.

Crime scenes were established at three properties and a car was taken away for forensic examination. The investigation remains open, and the public is urged to come forward with any information or footage related to the incident. Despite the terrifying ordeal, the police have reassured the community that there is no threat to the wider community stemming from this incident.
