Man Killed in Officer-Involved Shooting Identified as 20-year-old Connor Amador from Lompoc

Lompoc, California – The man killed during an officer-involved shooting last week has been identified as 20-year-old Connor Amador from Lompoc. According to police, the shooting occurred as officers responded to reports of a robbery at a Circle K location on East Ocean Ave.

The first incident took place on December 28 at 11:30 p.m. when officers received a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K. Amador, allegedly armed, entered the store, robbed the clerk of money and alcohol, and then fled the area. Despite a search, he evaded the officers.

The second incident occurred on December 29 at approximately 1:18 a.m. Officers were once again called to the same Circle K for an armed man near the gas pumps. This time, it was identified as Amador, who allegedly attempted to carjack someone in the parking lot. After the unsuccessful attempt, Amador allegedly re-entered the store and attempted to rob it again. The situation escalated and ended with officers confronting Amador and a fatal shooting taking place.
