Manhunt: Suspect Wanted for Capital Murder Accused of Robbing Subway in Mississippi

WOODVILLE, Miss. – The search is underway for Sammy Patrick, the suspect wanted for the shooting, killing, and setting an elderly woman on fire in Forest, Mississippi. According to reports from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Patrick allegedly robbed a Subway in Wilkinson County while armed.

Authorities have identified Patrick as the suspect involved in the capital murder of an elderly woman in the 3000 block of Old Jackson Road. The armed robbery at the Subway in Woodville, off Highway 61, took place around 2:50 p.m. Woodville Police Chief Lemuel Rutledge stated that after the robbery, Patrick was seen getting gas at a Shell gas station. He is driving a dark-colored Ford Ranger, reported as stolen on Old Highway 21, with a disabled tag bearing the number DBW5119. Patrick was last seen traveling north on Highway 61 towards Natchez.

Police from Mississippi Highway Patrol, Louisiana State Police, and other nearby agencies are actively searching for Patrick.

The suspect, named Sammy Patrick, is wanted for the murder of an elderly woman and the armed robbery of a Subway in Mississippi.
