Mark Levin’s Take on Gov. DeSantis’ Stand Against Disney

Mark Levin, a conservative television and radio commentator, released a video over the weekend justifying Gov. Ron DeSantis’s continued criticism of Disney.

Levin began by explaining that the primary objectives of a corporation are financial gain, product distribution, and customer service. They are not tasked with unseating an elected government in a state. People claim that DeSantis isn’t a conservative because he’s attempting to regulate the private sector, but the private sector needs to be controlled. Public universities, legislatures, and so on all fall under the purview of the state.

Levin referred to DeSantis’s bill of the Parental Rights in Education Act. The law would prevent teachers from discussing sexual orientation and gender identity with students K through 12.

Disney began pushing against the Parental Rights in Education Act last year when the bill’s first version was enacted into law. DeSantis was outraged by the involvement of a private company in government affairs.

Levin said just like Zuckerberg did in Philadelphia with his $417 million – private entities, corporatists who are fully woke, nearly all Democrats and leftists, will use the resources, their grant power to influence the outcome of elections and to control the culture in a way Americans have not elected their representatives to do.

Levin claimed that critical race theory, Marxist ideology, and other such practices destroyed American schools and children and turned races against one another. The issue at hand is the corporate influence on government institutions.

He elaborated, saying that the story concerned a corporation abusing its influence for too long.

Levin said Disney had been successful for half a century. Disney simulated an entire city with emergency services, law enforcement, and a tax system. Florida was silenced, and Disney was responsible for everything, including the rubbish collection. Neither the zoning laws nor the state’s environmental regulations were enforced. If they wanted to construct something in a park, they just did so.

No other company in Florida or the United States had such sway.

DeSantis saw this and decided that something needed to be done. Levin also mentioned a California-based company profiting greatly from the state, its residents, and tourists.

Worse, they are working against the will of the people’s representatives to promote sexual education in the classroom.

Levin’s comments follow new penalties DeSantis levied against Disney just days before.

According to the media, DeSantis has given the green light for state agencies to step up their regulatory monitoring over Disney activities, including the monorail and theme park rides. The Disney-run utility may be sold by the oversight board controlled by DeSantis, who could then negotiate with the state to repurpose the utility’s land.

The governor advocated for the establishment of a state park and the introduction of other theme parks. There may be a need for a second state prison. According to DeSantis, the options are limitless.

The governor also announced new laws.

Another news source claims that the proposed legislation, due out later this week, will escalate the governor’s fight by making development agreements illegal in Florida and giving the state the power to force the corporation to carry out its preferred land use.
