FORT WORTH, Texas – In a tragic and heinous crime that shook the community, a man from North Texas was given a death sentence for the brutal murder of his former girlfriend and her young daughter in east Fort Worth in 2018. Paige Terrell Lawyer was convicted of killing 30-year-old O’Tishae Womack and 10-year-old Ka’Myria Womack in a horrific act that left many reeling from the senseless violence.
The prosecution painted a grim picture of the events leading up to the murders, detailing how O’Tishae and her sister, Lashundra, encountered Lawyer multiple times during a walk, only for tragedy to strike the next day when O’Tishae failed to appear for her morning walk. Concerned, Lashundra entered O’Tishae’s apartment, only to discover the lifeless bodies of O’Tishae and Ka’Myria – both victims of strangulation.
