Neighbors report screaming argument as Minnesota man beats his 67-year-old mom and kills her

PRIOR LAKE, MN – A Minnesota man is facing serious charges after allegedly murdering his mother and attacking a woman in two separate incidents, authorities announced this week.

Aaron Schlossin, 36, of Prior Lake, has been charged with the second-degree murder of his 67-year-old mother, Diana Kaiser after she was discovered dead in their shared home.

This charge was followed by allegations of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and first-degree burglary, stemming from a separate attack on a woman in Burnsville the next day.

Investigators reported finding Kaiser’s body under a pile of blankets at their residence in the 4500 block of Colorado Street. Concern from a neighbor, who noticed irregularities in Kaiser’s routine, led to a welfare check by police. Officers noticed a body through a window and also discovered blood-stained jeans inside the house, believed to belong to Schlossin.

Neighbors reported hearing a violent confrontation inside the home before Kaiser was found. One neighbor allegedly described the disturbance as sounding like someone was being murdered and mentioned that Schlossin was often seen behaving unusually.

A local witness reportedly saw Schlossin inhaling nitrous oxide from a canister—an activity known as doing “whippits”—on the night in question. This, coupled with a request for a cigarette, left the witness with an impression of Schlossin as very high and disoriented.

The following day, Schlossin approached a woman outside her apartment in Burnsville, allegedly making her uncomfortable with his intense stare. Seeking safety, she retreated indoors, but Schlossin purportedly followed through a sliding door, pinned her against the refrigerator, and sexually assaulted her. The woman bravely fought back with frozen meat to fend him off.

Following these alarming incidents, Schlossin was apprehended and is currently held in the Dakota County jail, awaiting trial. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding both crimes as the community grapples with the unsettling events.
