Plane Crash Claims the Lives of Actor Christian Oliver and His Two Daughters

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands – Actor Christian Oliver, known for his roles in “Speed Racer” and “The Good German,” tragically died in a plane crash in the Caribbean on Thursday. The 51-year-old actor was on a small plane with his two daughters, Madita, 10, and Annik, 12, when the aircraft crashed into the ocean off the coast of Bequia.

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force reported that the pilot, Robert Sachs, also perished in the accident. The bodies of the victims were retrieved by the local fishermen and divers in Bequia, with assistance from the Coast Guard, before being transported to the Kingstown Mortuary in Saint Vincent.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to the police force. Representatives for Oliver did not immediately respond to requests for further information.

Christian Oliver, born Christian Klepser in Germany, moved to the United States to pursue a career in Hollywood. His filmography includes roles in “Saved by the Bell: The New Class,” the German police drama “Alarm für Cobra 11,” and most recently, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” among others. He had also finished filming the movie “Forever Hold Your Peace” in December, in which he served as a producer.

The entertainment industry mourns the loss of Christian Oliver, along with his two young daughters and the pilot, as they are remembered for their contributions to film and television.
