Robbers Charged in Violent Bucks County Comic Book Store Heist

Feasterville, Pennsylvania – Two truck drivers from Michigan have been charged in connection with the violent robbery of a comic book store in Bucks County in September 2022. The Bucks County district attorney’s office announced that 22-year-old Zackery Maximus Tucker and 35-year-old Caleb James-Lorenze Simpson are facing charges related to the incident.

Tucker, who was arraigned on Monday, faces charges that include robbery, aggravated assault, and unlawful restraint. He is currently being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility with bail set at $300,000, 10% cash.

Simpson, the second suspect in the case, is currently in custody in Michigan awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania for his alleged involvement in the robbery.

The violent incident occurred at the Comic Collection store in the Feasterville section of Lower Southampton Township on September 18, 2022. The suspects reportedly entered the store, posing as customers, before attacking the owner.

During the robbery, one suspect wore a black, hooded sweatshirt, while the other wore a red “Deadpool” t-shirt. The owner was assaulted, tied up, and threatened with a knife by the suspects who proceeded to steal various items from the store.

Following the robbery, the suspects were chased by officers and abandoned the stolen items in nearby woods. The store owner sustained injuries including contusions, lacerations, and broken ribs as a result of the attack.

Law enforcement officials were able to link the suspects to the robbery through surveillance footage, recovered clothing worn by the suspects, and forensic evidence processed by the Pennsylvania State Police crime lab.

Detectives received a tip in 2023 connecting Simpson and Tucker to the violent robbery, and further investigation led to the arrest of Simpson in Michigan. Subsequent evidence analysis confirmed the involvement of Simpson in the Comic Collection robbery.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office is working on the extradition process for Simpson to face charges in Pennsylvania. The investigation into the robbery at the comic book store continues as authorities seek to bring both suspects to justice for their alleged crimes.
