Robbery and Drug Deal Turn , Resulting in Two Deaths and Two Arrests in Onslow County

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – Two men are dead and two individuals have been arrested following a drug deal turned robbery at the MiniMart on Highway 53 in Onslow County. The incident, which occurred late on Wednesday, has left the community in shock and the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office investigating the tragic events.

Sheriff Chris Thomas revealed the identities of the victims as 18-year-old Christian Peterson and 19-year-old Kalib Bostick. Both men were found dead outside the 53 Mini Mart, while a third victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained injuries but is in stable condition.

The authorities have made two arrests in connection to the shooting. 20-year-old Wali Johnson was taken into custody around midnight and is facing charges of Open Count of Murder, Robbery with Firearms, and Conspiring to Commit a Robbery. Additionally, a 17-year-old has also been arrested and is facing similar charges. The investigation remains ongoing, with the possibility of additional charges or arrests.
