Suspect Accused of Robbing Subway After Capital Murder of Elderly Woman in Mississippi

WILKINSON CO., Miss. – Mississippi authorities are on the hunt for Sammy Patrick, who is wanted for the shooting, killing, and setting ablaze of an elderly woman in Forest. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office has identified Patrick as the suspect for this horrific crime.

The search for Patrick intensified after he allegedly robbed a Subway restaurant in Wilkinson County while armed. Woodville Police Chief Lemuel Rutledge reported that the armed robbery took place at the Subway off Highway 61 at around 2:50 p.m. Chief Rutledge also revealed that Patrick was spotted later on getting gas at a Shell gas station.

Authorities have reported that Patrick is driving a dark-colored Ford Ranger, which was reported stolen on Old Highway 21. The vehicle has a disabled tag with the number DBW5119. Patrick was last seen heading north on Highway 61 towards Natchez.
