NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Authorities have apprehended a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting outside a bar on Murfreesboro Pike that resulted in the death of an armed security guard. 18-year-old Quinton Sullivan was arrested on charges of criminal homicide and three counts of vehicle burglary in relation to the incident at Illuzion Bar & Lounge where Maurice Thomas Jr. lost his life.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the investigation unveiled that Sullivan, along with 19-year-old Isaiah Moore and another accomplice, were engaged in breaking into cars in the bar’s parking lot. When Thomas confronted them, he was shot multiple times, succumbing to his injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Surveillance footage captured the suspects fleeing the scene in a maroon Chevrolet Cruze. Police discovered three burglarized vehicles in the parking lot, subsequently impounding them for further investigation by evidence specialists.
