St. Louis, Missouri – A feud between two teenagers outside a Missouri school turned violent, leaving 16-year-old Kaylee Gain with severe injuries. Kaylee’s father has now disclosed the text messages exchanged before the brutal attack, shedding light on the events leading up to the assault.
The altercation resulted in Kaylee suffering a skull fracture, as well as bleeding and swelling on the brain. Following her hospitalization, her father discovered messages indicating that both teenagers had agreed to meet and engage in a physical confrontation.
Despite the exchange of hostile messages, Kaylee’s family refuted claims of bullying, emphasizing that both parties were equally involved in the dispute. The incident, caught on camera and shared widely on social media, led to the arrest of a 15-year-old girl on assault charges.
The video captured the violent encounter at an intersection near Hazelwood East High School, where Kaylee was slammed to the ground by the other teen. The suspect’s aunt has since launched a petition urging against charging her as an adult, citing her academic achievements and self-defense narrative.
Kaylee spent weeks in critical condition before being transferred from the intensive care unit. She is currently undergoing therapy to regain speech and movement, though she struggles to recall the events leading to her hospitalization.
