Transgender teen stabbed 14 times at London birthday party during transphobic attack

LONDON, UK – A transgender girl was the victim of a brutal stabbing at a birthday party, where she was attacked by a group of individuals who subjected her to transphobic slurs. The incident occurred in Masons Avenue, London, in the borough of Harrow. The teenager was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed 14 times and has since been discharged.

Nineteen-year-old Summer Betts-Ramsey has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in public. She appeared at Willesden Magistrates Court, where she confirmed her details and address in Cricklewood. The court heard that the victim, an 18-year-old transgender girl, was viciously attacked at a roller-skating party.

Police responded to the scene at 7pm and found the victim with stab injuries. Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident, and police patrols in the area have been increased. Detective Inspector Nicola Hannant stated, “This was a shocking and violent attack, and we continue to support the victim and her family as she recovers from her injuries.”
