Violent Attack Near East Orange Middle School Leaves Two Girls Injured and Authorities Investigating

East Orange, New Jersey – An investigation is underway by school officials and local police in East Orange following a violent attack near Patrick F. Healy Middle School that left two girls injured. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on Hamilton Street in the 90’s block, shortly after school dismissal.

According to reports from the girls’ parents, the two students were walking on Park Avenue when they were approached by a group of over a half dozen teenagers who then initiated the attack. Witnesses stated that the assailants forced the girls to the ground, physically assaulted them by punching and kicking, and even stole items from them before fleeing the scene.

Both victims were taken to Carewell Health Medical Center (East Orange General) for treatment. Medical personnel treated their injuries, with one of the victims being released after treatment while the other remained hospitalized for further observation. The incident was partly captured on neighborhood surveillance video and is currently under investigation by authorities.

Despite the severity of the attack, both girls are expected to make a full recovery. The community is coming together to support the victims and their families during this difficult time.
