Violent Attack on McDonald’s Employee at Boston Transit Station

Boston, Massachusetts – A routine transaction at a McDonald’s location inside South Station in Boston ended in a violent attack against an employee on Saturday evening, according to Transit Police.

The incident unfolded at around 7 p.m. when 34-year-old Odair Andrade became enraged after the employee touched the lid of his drink. Eyewitnesses described a sudden and aggressive assault that quickly escalated, with Andrade reportedly punching the victim several times and even using a cash register as a weapon.

Passersby, such as Joshua Venter, were shocked by the brutal scene. Venter, who was on his way through South Station, expressed disbelief at the violence he witnessed and a newfound sense of caution in the area.

Transit Police intervened swiftly, arresting Andrade on the spot, while the injured worker received on-site treatment. Andrade now faces charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and malicious destruction of property.
