This outbreak, coupled with cases of severe starvation, mange, and injuries from dog fights and gang-related stabbings, has presented immense challenges. Recent funds enabled the purchase of vaccines to combat distemper, treatment for mange, and general veterinary care for severe injuries and infections. The support provided has made a significant difference in saving lives, such as that of Nova, a puppy suffering from untreated mange and a secondary infection.
In late November, efforts were directed to addressing a devastating drought in Matabeleland, Zimbabwe, which left 300 donkeys on the brink of starvation. Your unwavering generosity allowed for the urgent delivery of hay and feed, sparing hundreds of donkeys from imminent death.
