INDUSTRY, Calif. – Two brothers are facing charges of robbery after allegedly assaulting a woman and stealing her purse in the parking lot of a Costco store in Industry. David Martin Morrison Jr., 38, and Andrew Morrison, 34, were scheduled to appear in court for their arraignment on Wednesday at the West Covina courthouse. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has not yet released details from the hearing. The two men are each facing one count of robbery.
Additionally, Andrew Morrison is also facing two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information. Another individual, Jake Raya, has been charged with one count of unauthorized use of personal identifying information. The incident occurred on Nov. 26 at around 6:30 p.m. outside the Costco in the 17500 block of Castleton Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The victim attempted to retrieve her purse and was repeatedly punched in the face while being dragged by the getaway vehicle, ultimately resulting in life-threatening injuries that required hospitalization.
Last Thursday, the two brothers were arrested in Diamond Bar, and detectives recovered evidence including the victim’s personal property. David Morrison is being held on $500,000 bail, while Andrew Morrison’s bail has been set at $600,000. Sheriff’s officials are also investigating whether the pair may have been involved in other recent robberies in the San Gabriel Valley area.
