Athens, Georgia – In a tragic incident in Athens, three teenagers are now facing charges after a child was shot and killed on Friday night. The Athens-Clarke County police responded to a shooting at the Hallmark Mobile Home Park, where they discovered two children had been shot, with one child tragically losing their life. The suspect, 17-year-old Julian Cubillos from Lawrenceville, has been arrested and charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and violation of the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. Cubillos is currently being held in the Clarke County Jail.
Warrants have also been issued for 16-year-old Jayden Brown and 18-year-old Dakious Echols, who will face similar charges once apprehended. The police have not released details on what led to the shooting, and the identity of the second child involved has not been made public.
