Indictments Issued for Fall River Men in Connection to Unsolved Homicide of Diamonte Odom

Fall River, Massachusetts – Four men from Fall River have been indicted in connection to the unsolved May 13, 2023, homicide of 23-year-old Diamonte Odom, according to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III. The indictments are the result of a long-term grand jury investigation conducted by the Massachusetts State Police and Fall River Police detectives.

Tajon Saxon, 26, has been indicted on charges of Murder, Carrying a Loaded Illegal Firearm, and Carrying an Illegal Firearm. Saxon remains at large and is also wanted in connection to a double-homicide in May 2021. Quanif Johnson, 26, has also been indicted on charges of Murder, as well as other drug and firearm-related charges. Dioni Tavarez-Leonirio, 25, has been indicted on a charge of Accessory to Murder-After the Fact, while 18-year-old Devin Alves has been indicted on drug and firearm-related charges.

On the night of the incident, first responders found Odom suffering from a gunshot wound to his face. He was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased during the early morning hours of May 14. Due to the fact that the two defendants indicted for murder have yet to be arraigned in open court, no further details were released.

As the investigation progresses, the authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the indicted individuals to come forward. The indictments mark a significant development in the effort to bring justice for Diamonte Odom and his family.
