Man Shot and Killed on Interstate 95 in Foxborough, Search for Gunman Continues and Questions Remain Unanswered

FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts – Two days after a driver tragically lost his life in a fatal shooting on Interstate 95 in Foxborough, the search for the gunman is still ongoing. The incident occurred when the driver of a dark-colored sedan fired multiple rounds into a black Mercedes, resulting in the death of 37-year-old Justin Parker. The gunman responsible for the shooting has yet to be apprehended, leaving many unanswered questions.

Following the shooting, Parker’s vehicle collided with a silver Lexus, causing it to crash into the woods. Despite the severity of the collision, the family inside the Lexus fortunately escaped serious injury. Parker was rushed to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The impact of the shooting has left friends and community members in shock and disbelief. Described as a devoted father, Parker’s friends are struggling to come to terms with the senseless tragedy. Even more distressing is the fact that the perpetrator of the shooting is still at large.

Investigators have issued a plea for any dashcam or video footage captured between 9 and 10 p.m. along the I-95 corridor from Waltham to the Rhode Island line, as well as along the Route 3/Interstate 93 corridor from Boston or Weymouth, through Milton and Canton to I-95 south. Authorities believe the shooter merged onto I-95 south around 9:20 p.m. and are urging anyone with potential footage to come forward and assist with the investigation.

While specific details about the suspected vehicle driven by the shooter have not been disclosed to the public, authorities are hopeful that the footage could provide valuable information to identify the perpetrator. The Norfolk District Attorney, Michael W. Morrissey, emphasized the importance of the public’s cooperation in sharing any relevant footage to aid in resolving the case.

As the investigation continues, the community remains on edge, anxiously awaiting the apprehension of the perpetrator responsible for the tragic loss of Justin R. Parker.
