Naked Man Beats Delivery Man to Death with Firewood in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas – A tragic incident shook the community of Fort Worth on Saturday night when a man delivering firewood was brutally beaten to death with a piece of firewood. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by NBC 5, 27-year-old Chrisantus Omondi has been charged with the murder of Scotty Jackson on Wendover Drive.

Kasey Deleon, Jackson’s daughter, described her father as an outgoing and hardworking man who was dedicated to ensuring that everyone had firewood to keep warm. Jackson had been making last-minute deliveries in preparation for the severe cold forecasted for the week, but he never made it home.

A witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, recounted the horrifying events of that fateful night. As Jackson was delivering firewood to the witness’s home, Omondi, naked and screaming, suddenly appeared and attacked both men. Despite his efforts to fight Omondi off, the witness was unable to prevent the fatal beating inflicted upon Jackson.

The witness managed to escape into his home and call 911, but it was too late. Jackson succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Omondi was swiftly apprehended in an Airbnb across the street, where he had been staying. The police had to use a stun gun to detain Omondi, who was combative and uncooperative.

Deleon expressed her disgust and disbelief at the senseless act of violence, emphasizing that her father did not deserve such a gruesome end. In the aftermath of the tragedy, Jackson’s family is seeking justice and raising funds for his funeral expenses, dedicated to giving him a dignified farewell. Additionally, they are calling for justice for the witness who also endured the traumatic ordeal.

The community has been rallying to support Jackson’s family during this difficult time, offering condolences and financial assistance through a GoFundMe page. As the investigation continues, the family seeks closure and hopes that Omondi will be held accountable for his heinous actions.
