Trump’s Major Announcement Has Nothing To Do With His Campaign

The “big news” that former President Trump announced with considerable pomp on Wednesday turned out to be about NFTS. Mr. Trump appears to be selling digital trading cards of himself.

Trump stated that the official collection of Donald Trump Digital Trading Cards had arrived! According to Trump, these limited-edition cards have stunning artwork depicting my life and career. Mr. Trump stated on Truth Social, enjoy collecting your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards, similar to baseball cards but hopefully far more fun.

The speculation around the former president’s statement focused on his campaign and if Mr. Trump would unveil a running partner for the 2024 election or other political maneuvers.

Do not delay. Trump advised that he imagines they will be gone pretty shortly!

The merchandising announcement came just one day after Mr. Trump posted a video on his social media platform, where he is contractually obligated to make such proclamations. Prior to the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, Mr. Trump was an active user on the Twitter platform. He used Twitter to announce policies, hire and fire aides, and threaten his enemies. Mr. Trump was banned from the platform (which had democratic leanings) and only just reinstated when Elon Musk purchased the company. Musk authorized the release of the Twitter files showing how the media stifled anything that could negatively impact the Democrats and how they buried tweets that could help Trump while he was president.

The short animation Mr. Trump posted as a teaser for a “major announcement” depicted an anime version of himself opening his shirt to reveal a stylized “T,” a reference to the fictional House of El crest worn by DC Comics’ Superman title character, the photo also depicted what appeared to be energy beams emanating from his eyes.

According to sources, Mr. Trump has long played with the idea of casting himself as a real-life version of the comic book character. When the then-president was diagnosed with Covid-19 in late 2020, he allegedly told advisers he intended to create a photo op upon leaving Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in which he would rip off his dress shirt to expose a t-shirt sporting Superman’s emblem. Although a campaign assistant was dispatched to get the clothing, Mr. Trump never followed through with the hoax.

There have been varied reactions to Mr. Trump’s announcement. Many Trump supporters stated that they did not consider the sale of NFTs to be newsworthy.

This is undesirable. Marxist zealots on the far left pose a threat to human civilization. The type of conflict that teases NFT cards as a huge announcement is not what the public desires at this time. These are difficult times. Love the guy, but this turns off many Robby Starbuck, the Republican candidate for Tennessee’s 5th congressional district, tweeted.

Some of Trump’s fans stated that the news swayed them to back Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has emerged as a leading rival for the 2024 Republican candidacy against Trump. DeSantis has not yet declared his candidacy for president.

After the former president teased Thursday’s revelation on Truth Social on Wednesday, many began to speculate what Trump’s “big surprise” might be. Some believed he would reveal his choice of running partner or share updates about his 2024 candidacy. Many anticipated a statement regarding a race for speaker, a vice presidential announcement, action on the J6 detainees, and various lawsuits.
