Vehicle Theft Spree: Woman Arrested After Violent Attacks in Tacoma

Tacoma, Washington – A woman was arrested by Tacoma police late Friday night following a series of violent attacks where she injured two men and stole their vehicles. Both victims sustained serious injuries and required hospitalization as a result of the incidents that unfolded in different locations within the city.

The first incident took place around 3:30 p.m. on Friday in the 1100 block of South Highland Avenue. Reports indicate that the suspect, who was known to the victim, carried out a violent assault using an axe before fleeing the scene with the man’s vehicle. The victim was left with severe injuries and had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Later that day, the woman abandoned the stolen vehicle and hailed an Uber for a ride. However, the routine trip turned into a nightmare when she allegedly stabbed the Uber driver in the neck, leaving him seriously wounded. She then proceeded to take control of the Uber driver’s vehicle and fled the area, leaving a trail of violence in her wake.

Tacoma police were quick to respond to the second incident, managing to locate the stolen Uber vehicle in the 7400 block of East F Street. Not far from the vehicle, officers found the woman attempting to hide and promptly took her into custody. She now faces charges of assault and robbery, with authorities delving into the motive behind her violent actions.

Community members in the affected areas are being urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement. The victims are receiving medical care, while their families come to grips with the traumatic events that unfolded. Officer Alex Rodriguez of the Tacoma Police Department stressed the importance of community involvement in helping law enforcement apprehend dangerous individuals, reassuring the public that officers are working tirelessly to maintain a safe environment.
