West Hollywood, California – The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station recently released a shocking video capturing a violent assault on a Block by Block ambassador in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 15, 2024. The incident led to the arrest of West Hollywood resident and trans activist Annie Jump Vicente, who is now facing a felony assault with a deadly weapon charge. As of now, the other suspect involved in the attack is still at large, with LASD detectives seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual.
During a West Hollywood Regular City Council Meeting, Annie Jump Vicente tearfully recounted her version of events, alleging that she had been sexually assaulted and brutally beaten by the Block by Block ambassador. However, the video released by LASD paints a different picture. It shows the ambassador walking past Ms. Jump and the unidentified suspect before an altercation ensues, eventually leading to the ambassador being assaulted by both suspects.
The footage indicates that the ambassador was struck on the head with a flashlight, and a dog believed to belong to Ms. Vicente was put in harm’s way during the scuffle. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Inmate Information Center, Annie Jump Vicente was arrested on the night of the incident and was subsequently released the following day. A source familiar with the incident told WEHO TIMES that the assault took place near Santa Monica Boulevard and N. Vista Avenue.
