St. Helens, United Kingdom – Police in St. Helens are seeking witnesses to a violent road rage incident that left a man with severe facial fractures earlier this month. The altercation occurred on the evening of February 9, following a dispute on Scorecross Road, as reported by authorities.
According to reports, the victim narrowly avoided a collision with a man driving a white Volkswagen Caddy near a local McDonald’s. The man then pursued the victim in a white Volkswagen transporter van, leading to a confrontation on Scorecross Lane where the victim was assaulted.
The victim sustained serious facial injuries that required medical treatment. In response, police conducted CCTV inquiries in the area to identify the suspect, described as over 6ft 4 inches tall with a muscular build, bald head, and brown wiry beard.
Detectives have released images of the suspect’s van and urged anyone with information or dashcam footage from the incident to come forward. Detective Inspector Richard Shillito emphasized the importance of community cooperation in preventing such acts of violence on the streets.
