Stabbing Horror Caught on CCTV as Violent Offender Prepares Attack at Pub

Kirkby-in-Ashfield, UK – Surveillance footage capturing the chilling moment a violent offender prepared to stab a man outside a pub has been made public. Tyrone James, who was subsequently imprisoned for the attack, had initially struck another man in the face before carrying out the brutal knife assault. The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 22, resulting in the victim sustaining multiple stab wounds to his torso and back, causing life-altering injuries.

James, aged 41, first punched a man before launching the knife attack outside a pub on Station Street. Both the assault and the stabbing were caught on camera. The police, aided by detailed examinations of CCTV footage, successfully located James following the incident. Through the use of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, authorities were able to trace him, his vehicle, and phone to the scene of the attack at the time it occurred.

Further investigations revealed that James had been at several pubs in the Kirkby area that night, where he was overheard making threats to other individuals. Although he left the area before midnight to go home to Hucknall, he returned 35 minutes later, wearing different attire, and was filmed placing a knife in his pants’ waistband.

Wearing a balaclava, James assaulted one man before carrying out a sustained attack on the second victim. Subsequently, he fled the scene, escaping in a vehicle. Following his arrest, James was charged with the crime and appeared in court where he admitted to causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possessing an offensive weapon in public, and assault. He was ultimately sentenced to eight years in prison during a session at Leicester Crown Court on April 26.

Detective Inspector James Oakton of Nottinghamshire Police described the incident as a “savage attack” that occurred in front of numerous witnesses. James’ actions on that night directly resulted in one individual suffering severe injuries and himself facing consequences behind bars.
